About the Job

MOR Financial is a Los Angeles based Residential and Commercial real estate private lender. We work directly with clients to orchestrate and facilitate private debt structuring for the development, renovation, and acquisition of residential and commercial real estate.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who has theability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. . Our ideal candidate isa detail-oriented, organized and has an in-depth understanding of private and conventional loan underwriting and processing guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of bank and secondary marketing guidelines and compliance regulations, including but not limited to Fair Lending, Reg B (ECOA), Reg C (HMDA),Reg Z (TIL), Reg X and RESPA, Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Three to four years loan processing and/or underwriting experience, preferably in a financial institution
  • The analytical ability to conduct an analysis of an applicant’s credit status and recommend alternatives when the analysis reveals an insufficient financial position
  • Broad knowledge of credit fundamentals, real estate products, policies, procedures, and all governing regulatory laws and guidelines
  • Knowledge of secondary market underwriting requirements
  • The ability to communicate effectively
  • Must exhibit a high level of professionalism
  • Must demonstrate strong ethics in interpersonal relationships and work as an effective, collaborative team member

Responsibilities:

Loan Preparation

  • Communicate immediately and effectively verbally and in writing with all applicants and internal team members.
  • Demonstrate sales ability and a sense of urgency on all files.
  • Analyze all income, asset, credit, title and property information in a residential loan for all loans.
  • Validate the findings from initial underwriting and file submission.
  • Perform analysis and review of all loan information, including, however, not limited to credit reports, appraisal reports, title reports, tax returns, financial statements, income and asset documentation.
  • Prepare all closing documents accurately and without error, including but not limited to, preparing closing documents pursuant to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of data in the loan file and on the loan origination/processing system.

Quality Control

  • Maintain productivity and quality of service standards, as established by Management, with respect to the approval and closing of loans, including but not limited to: making decisions on loans within specified timeframes, from the receipt of the file in Operations until funding
  • Complete all required disclosures such as initial GFE, error free and within 3 business days.
  • Ensure the underwriting validation performed meets with company or other secondary marketing investor guidelines, as applicable.
  • Approve and close transactions within specified deadlines as set forth on the Purchase Contract or escrow instructions.

Entry-Level Sales

As an entry-level salesperson, you will be an integral part in the immediate growth plans of MOR Financial. By focusing on client and B2B relationships, you will be able to expand on the MOR Financial brand and generate opportunities to meet your personal and professional goals. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn and/or have experience in the following:

  • Generate new business relationships with real estate brokers/agents, mortgage brokers and real estate professionals
  • Schedule meetings and office presentations to promote MOR Financial loan products
  • Oversee and convert MOR Financial generated leads
  • Manage active accounts while prospecting future clients
  • Attend real estate trade shows, seminars and events

Requirements:

  • Conduct frequent in person meetings
  • Previous experience with sales scripts and phone sales
  • Continuous education regarding real estate trends and market updates
  • Real Estate Salesperson license preferred
  • License must be acquired during probation period – company will cover cost to obtain license
  • General knowledge of real estate finance or significant interest in the industry
  • College education / real estate experience preferred
  • Experience with Encompass 360 software, a plus

Front Office Assistant

Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized and efficient team player with exceptional time management skills and an interest in marketing related activities.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Gmail, and Social Media Platforms
  • Excellent Communication Skills – both written and verbal
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Knowledge of Real Estate terminology and concepts a plus
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and re-prioritize as necessary in order to align with business goals and objectives
  • Must exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Must demonstrate strong ethics in interpersonal relationships and work as an effective, collaborative team member

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, reply to emails
  • Greet clients and visitors
  • Maintain office inventory
  • Work closely with CEO and company executives in coordinating and scheduling of meetings and events
  • Work closely with marketing department in coordinating events and assist in general marketing related activities
  • Organize correspondence for clients and vendors
  • Appropriately address and follow-up on any employee related request for office or facility service

Benefits:

  • Full medical / dental insurance after completion of 90 day probation period
  • $12 – $15 / hour depending on experience
